IT major brings comprehensive email management to the region
Dubai - Mimecast, a globally acclaimed provider of unified e-mail management services has announced the launch of its operations in the Middle East region. The UK- based Software as a Service (SAAS) company would soon be setting up a free zone office in Dubai, which would help it tap into the burgeoning UAE market. Mimecast is also participating at Gitex 2008 as part of its strategy to target the wider Middle East region.
Mimecast Services, which was founded in 2002 is the world's largest online archiver and provides email continuity and security via an online email management platform. The organisation, which has recorded a 300% year on year growth, now has its operations in North America, Europe, South Africa and Offshore.
Commenting on Mimecast's announcement to set up its presence in Middle East, Naqui Mirza, Regional Director, Mimecast Middle East said, "We are extremely excited to launch our operations in the Middle East region, where we will operate with a channel focused expansion strategy to emerge as a leading provider in the region's email management space". He further added, "The Middle East is a rapidly maturing market whose growth is impacted by skills shortages, international expansion and compliance with North American and European directives. Mimecast offers organizations a globally scalable email solution with tremendous control and granularity at a local level driving cost and infrastructure efficiencies in the process."
Mimecast's sophisticated Unified Email Management technology tightly integrates with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook and Windows Mobile. The technology can be deployed in a day and offers a search time of 17 ms to locate individual mails in up to 10years of archived corporate mail.
Every day Mimecast takes care of millions of emails and documents for thousands of companies around the world. This technology extends across all vertical markets, from finance to football clubs, professional services to retail outlets, and one in three of the top UK law firms have adopted Mimecast in the last 12 months.
Connecting a corporate email server to Mimecast delivers critical software services as well as the physical network, computing and storage infrastructure needed to deliver comprehensive unified Email management. Mimecast allows an organization's IT team to shift their focus from the unproductive management of the individual technical components to the wider business needs of their organization. Apart from these benefits, certain key features of Mimecast technology include Data retention and eDiscovery, advanced email security and business continuity, wherein emergency email facilities are instantly available during the failure of a customer's local email infrastructure.
