EBS secures Dh50m contract

Emirates Building Systems (EBS)Emirates Building Systems (EBS)Loading..., a regional player in the construction of high-rise steel buildings, has secured a Dh50 million contract for the construction of Kuwait World Trade Center, located in the heart of Kuwait City.

Located on Sour Street, the project will have a built-up area of 23,400 square metres with the construction estimated to require over 5,000 metric tonnes of steel.

EBSEBSLoading... has been aggressively building its presence in the Gulf region and beyond, and this new project in Kuwait further boosts our growth and consolidation strategy."

EBSEBSLoading...'s other projects include The Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, and the Almoayyed Tower'and Trust Insurance Tower projects in Bahrain. EBSEBSLoading... was also awarded a contract recently for construction of a new high-rise tower at Dubai Business Bay.

In order to cater to the increased demand for steel structures in the Gulf region, EBSEBSLoading... had recently completed the expansion of its factory in the UAE to take the company's annual production capacity to over 75,000 metric tonnes. EBSEBSLoading... has also set up additional fabrication facilities in the GCC and the Indian subcontinent.

EBSEBSLoading... was awarded the contract for Kuwait World Trade Center through Al Muhalab Contracting and Trading Co, with whom EBSEBSLoading... has entered into a partnership for its Kuwait operations. Al Muhalab has been commissioned to execute all metal works on the project by Sayed Hamid Behbehani and Sons Company, the general contractors for the project.
