JEDDAH - Saudi Arabian AirlinesSaudi Arabian Airlines
officials say the privatization process of the national carrier is going smoothly and are confident of considerable improvement in the service."The future outlook for Saudi Arabian AirlinesSaudi Arabian Airlines
is extremely promising following the privatization of two of the company sectors," Khalid Bin Abdullah Almolhem, Director General of the airlines, told employees this week at the company's annual Eid gathering. "We have completed the privatization of catering and cargo, and are focusing this year on two more sectors," he added.
Almolhem said that infrastructure has been upgraded and customer service programs improved. "There are, of course, many other plans in the pipeline, such as restructuring the company and updating the fleet. Everything is running as smoothly as planned," he said.
Almolhem emphasized the airlines' commitment to investing in human resources.
"The training sector is one of the most important in the company. We firmly believe in supporting this department in every way possible. Automization does not mean dehumanization. Man remains an important factor in every upgrading scheme," he said.
